The Internet is for Porn

The proverbial question in my mind today, is why do attached men that have perfectly willing partners need porn?

It's something that's never really made a lot of sense to me. So, you have a partner that's ready, willing and able pretty much 24/7, so why spend your time wanking at the computer screen? Seriously... her hands must feel better than your own. No?

Porn is something that's always sort of put me off. I know plenty of men and women that appreciate it, but it's never really done it for me. I've tried watching it on various occasions, but it always makes me laugh uncontrollably. The sounds, the positions, the people, etc.; porn just feels like I'm watching a comedy gone really, really bad. Same as hearing other people have sex. Mind you, I make plenty of my own stupid moans and whimpers during sex, but some people overdo it to the extreme.

I was in a hotel room once, and at about 1:00 am, I was awoken by the sounds of "Fuck me Jimmy!" My bed, being on the opposite wall of theirs, like something out of a bad sitcom began clinking against the wall as some woman on the other side of the wall was screaming at the top of her lungs. Seriously?! I've had some amazing sex in my life, but I think screaming at the top of your lungs is just overkill. I imagine it makes your partner feel like he's doing his job, but personally, if I were a man, I think I'd prefer the soft whimper when something actually does feel good. You never hear men going on like they're being stabbed in the gut repeatedly. Seriously, if I wasn't laughing so hard, knowing what was going on in the next room, I would've thought she was being murdered.

But yeah...my question is this. Why do men look at porn when they have a partner that can't keep her hands off of him? Maybe it's less pressure? Maybe it's less high maintenance? Maybe he'd rather concentrate on getting himself off and only himself? It's just a question. Anyone have the answer?

  1. Because they like it. Just like you don't like it, many people do. This is like asking, "Why would someone masturbate when they have a perfectly willing partner?" Because masturbation is healthy and natural. It's OKAY to have sexual experiences and fantasies on your own, and without your partner. Your partner shouldn't be the end all and be all of your sexual satisfaction. And sometimes, it's a way for people in monogamous relationships to "experience" someone else without cheating. No matter how awesome and hot your sex life with your partner is, sometimes you just want something different.

Also, going back to the masturbation point, sometimes you just want a quick nut and don't actually want the effort of sex with a partner. Or your partner is isn't home and you're horny. Porn can be the visual arousal to help someone achieve that.

  2. Most men don't have a partner that can't keep their hands off them, simple as that.

  6. I love porn watching. It is excellent watching different reactions of different people on bed. It ain't a bad thing at all. It's rather an art. I prefer amateur stuff and professional ones which put me off often (unless they are so exotic).

  7. If a man has a partner who sexually is ready, willing, and able, but chooses porn instead, then I'd say that there's something he's NOT getting from her that he can get on his own. I think it's probably an individual thing, to a large extent. And consider someone else's comment, that most men DON'T have someone who's ready, willing, and able. Whatever the reason may be, in a healthy relationship the man and the woman ought to bring it up to each other--what exactly is wrong, so hopefully it can be addressed.

As for myself, I can't say too much since I don't have a woman, but I do enjoy porn, but it's mainly the more amateur stuff, as someone earlier said. I'm usually put off by a lot of porn done by professionals because usually it just doesn't feel as intimate. I say it's best when a couple looks like they're really both enjoying it, with lots of smiling and eye contact. It doesn't seem like there's much of that out there though.

  8. I think most people, men and women *don't* have someone ready, willing, and able. Especially guys. Which is root of the appeal of porn.

As a woman, I'm perfectly ready, will, and able to give my man 24/7 sex (if he wants) but I found that most men don't want 24/7 sex with just any woman - they want 24/7 sex with a "hot" woman. So many people choose to use porn for sex rather than have real sex with a woman who is less than "hot" but real.

  9. Its because most men DONT have a partner who cant keep their hands off them. Most men just have a higher sex drive...

for instance, i need it about every 5 minutes or so.. i have yet to meet the chick who can keep up with that :)

    Love the video!!
My sweetheart and I "indulge" in a little porn every now and then for something different, and more often than enough we end up giggling at the screen and critiquing the antics on the screen...

And I don't know how I missed this update- old as it is!
