Fuck it

A few months ago, I was sitting at my computer, browsing the internet, when I came across this thing called a blog. I can't quite remember what I was searching, although I'm absolutely positive it wasn't Kathy lee Gifford's nipples. What I was looking for at the time, is completely beside the point.

There are very, very few of you reading this page right now, that have followed my blog from the beginning. I know this for a fact, because I honestly have no idea how the hell most of you even found me, or what intrigued you enough to keep on coming back. Other than the fact that I do have a fantabulous tushie, I think in retrospect, I'm a pretty average twenty-something female.

Now as to where this post is going, I'm having a little trouble spitting it out, because nothing annoys me more than people that feel the need to bitch and moan about absolutely nothing. It takes a lot to get under my skin. For the most part, I try to be friendly to everyone. I have never intentionally been a spiteful or vengeful person. I've never intentionally bickered or sat and gossiped about people I dislike. Actually, when I dislike a person, they never even know it. Call me stupid, naive, or whatever you like, but I don't even dislike many people at all. I give most people the benefit of the doubt, that they're good people and have no reason to hurt me since I've never hurt them. I guess that some people get their thrills and chills out of it though...Yeah, shit, OK! I'm rambling again. Let me try one more time.

I've emailed with a few of the people that read this blog. You all know who you are. I'm not talking about the one liners that people sent me when I was sick, or the cute little balloons people sent when I decided I was collecting them, but I mean genuine conversations, where I opened up and formed friendships. I've been told by a lot of people that I know in real life, not to get too attached to these online friendships, because they come and go, and I have the tendency to trust far too quickly and get emotionally attached to people. When it came to blogging, I found it fun and didn't let myself get attached to anyone. I kept everything pretty public. By everything I mean, my conversations, my friendships, and didn't take anything more serious than it needed to be. It seems to me that there are a lot of people out there that just love to dig deeper. They love to try to crossover and make blogging a little more serious than need be. Personally, I don't need the fucking drama. If I needed internet drama, I'd go in search of it, like so many people tend to do.

Honestly, I don't want any part of it. If people are so miserable that they need to pry into my personal life and make up bullshit stories about who I am and things that I've done, more fucking power to you. You win.

I've been sitting and letting this sort of simmer down in my brain, because I still don't understand the logic, or even the point, but I think I'm just going to go away for a little bit. I've never pretended to be the strongest person around... I've never pretended that I had the perfect life nor have I ever pretended to be anything that I'm not. I was always just myself. Anyway, I hope that the people that do read this blog regularly, and email me from time to time, don't go away. I'll be back. I just need a little break. Normally I wouldn't even tell people I'm taking one, but since I'm probably going to stay away for a little longer than a couple of weeks, I figured it deserved mention. I'll still be around and commenting. C'est la vie...

  1. wtf scg not you too. all of my favorite bloggers have had something happen in the past few months. i don't know why people can't just leave other people alone. from what i've seen you never say anything nasty about people. not even the people that have left you nasty comments. is it ok if i email you since you won't be blogging for a little while?

  2. Come on, you know it was KLG's Nipples that got you into blogging!

Sorry to hear that shitty people are dragging ya down, but unfortunately it happens. I'll miss reading your blog, and hope you don't make it too long of break from. :)

  3. It's always the nice ones that get pushed out of the blogosphere. Just a word of advice: Don't let anyone push you out. Quit because it's what you want to do. Never quit because someone scared you away of intimidated you.

  4. Well crap girl... I will miss you. Boy, will I now have to start emailing you regularly to stay in touch???

  5. There was someone on the internet talking shit about you?

These people need to get a life. My blog was the first venture into the internet life other than downloading music & email. There are blogging buddies that I've formed, but as soon as it isn't fun I'm closing up shop.

If you need me to punch anyone in the face I will. Have fun on your break & I hope you come back.

  6. enjoy your break and just don't worry about the a-holes out there

  7. Drama douchebags. Some people just infuriate me. Its nice to make friends through blogging because most of the time you do easily find caring people to communicate with that have the same interests as you. Still, there should be common knowledge of the line that should not be crossed.

I'm sorry this is causing you to go away for a while, but I do hope you return. Have you thought of starting a new blog and inviting only those worthy of your fantabulous tushie? :)

I hope to see ya in my comments box. You do leave the some of the bestest comments. Take care Sex Pot. *wink* Enjoy your break.

  8. Shit like this happens all the time. I quit producing a fun blog because of it. Take a break let it blow over. Enjoy the spring and come back when yer buns are ready to come out of the oven.

  9. Stuff happens all the time. You wouldn't believe some of the shitty comments I find on back posts from people that don't even know me. You wouldn't believe some of the shitty emails I get from people that don't even know me.

It's a world of hurt out there so it is just up to you to carve out your own space in it. If your blog still brings you enjoyment, stick with it. If not, close it down. Either way, the space is yours and nothing else really matters.....

    except Kathy Lee Gifford's nipples.

  10. It's OK, all. Like I said, I'll still be around leaving my crappy little comments, here and there, but my blog needs a little rest. I was a little tired, anyway. I'd rather not get into the specifics of what happened. I'm still around. :)

  11. I don't know why you let any of these pathetic people get under your creamy white skin. Listen Sissy, like I've said before to you drillions of times over, you're uber sensitive and it's what makes you the beautiful person you are.

Yes. A lot of people out there really do need to get lives and stop worrying about other peoples'. But all this goes to show is that obviously your life is more interesting than theirs is; therefore they find it necessary to pry their way in and try to live vicariously through your deeds. Live it up, Sissy. Sometimes this is the best thing that can happen to your career. Wait. You're not Vanesssa Anne Hudgens. I take it back.

Just post some new pics of your ass and watch the birds flock. Fantabulous is an understatement, you hot piece of meat, you.

Okay. Enough building back up your self esteem, I think I vomited a little bit in my mouth. Just Kidding!

You. Me. Margaritas. Paris Hilton's sex tape. This weekend. I'll even let you call loverboy this time and not keep you all to myself. Teehee. Call me bitch!!!

  12. Screw them... do your own thing!

  13. Take a break, but come back.
I just found you and I am already loosing you :(

Leave comments though. The picture with your profile does make my day

  14. I promise after I get my work done, I'm going to answer the comments appropriately.

Ah, Ted, you always manage to help see the bright side of things, haha. I definitely deserve it for as many times as I've told you to suck it up when you were having a hard time. Touche!

  15. I've really missed your lovely avatar on my blog, and I feel bad that I haven't spent enough time over here reading your posts. I promise to do better if you'll hurry back.

  16.'re, what...really vulnerable right now?

    (pupils dilate)

  17. Just let me know if you want me to sort them out!

I still continue reading your blog even though I don't always comments. Will miss you!

BTW - I did not find your blog because of your touche, even though it's been an added bonus :)

  18. I've never had horrible emails or people slagging me off ... yet, or that I know of, but I know if I did I'd feel like you.

In fact something has happened recently which has tempted me to close down the blog, but for the time being I'm going to try to ride it out. We'll see.

Whatever you do, take care of yourself. For what it's worth I love your writing and will miss reading you.

    Have fun. x

  19. I guess there are creeps everywhere who just get their jollies making other people feel bad.

As Tom Leher once said: I know there are people out there who do not love their fellow Man, and I HATE people like that!

  20. Drama sucks, and misery loves company. There are so many miserable assholes out there, and they just love to drag people into their shitty little dramas! I hope you don't stay away too long! I will keep in touch via email and chat! :o)

  21. I think more bloggrs oughtta adopt Polanski principples.

Principple #1: I wont let a single one o my real-world friends know about The Joey Polanski Show. Principple #2: I wont let a single one o my bloggin contackts know anything substantive about th Man Bhind th Curtain.

Principple #1 keeps me on my toes as a bloggr. Fokes who gots their friends among their bloggin contackts can post ANYTHING, and their peeps will still flock and gobble. Thus do blogs dteriorate from creative outlets to just a million more lame-ass online diarys.

Principple #2, ocourse, cmpletely eliminates th possibility o this kinda drama.

Th Moral: Bloggrs ought not think o bloggin as just anothr kind o MySpace. Let MySpace be fer th socializin. Let bloggin be for th creatin.

Ahhh ... but who among all these MySpacrs & diarrhy-bloggrs will lissn to a dumb polack?

  22. right, if i find out who has hurt you i'm going to kick their asses!!!
take all the time you want scg, i'll be here waiting when you get back.
    love your work!!!

  23. Oh sure...the first time I visit yer blog and yer on extended hiatus...but I do so love the "motivational" graphic. Best one I've ever seen.

  24. WTF SCG! I'm gone for a week and you decide to take a break?!?!?! I hope you come back soon! :?( I don't read a lot of blogs and I comment on even fewer, but I'd be really upset if you up and quit. Come back soon.
I realize that you care about what people think, but being that this is the internet and you write in a very public blog, it will open you up to all kinds of jealousy as well as scrutiny. Remember this and remember it well. The only people that dwell on the lives of other bloggers are people that are lacking in their own. In a way, people talking shit about you is a very high form of flattery. It shows that you're on their minds enough for them to bother.
I will definitely miss you SCG. Come back a.s.a.p.

  25. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.

  26. Hope your blog break is going well. Just checking in and saying Hi!

  27. Girl...Oh boy, I can't say that I like your new plan but I totally get it. Just don't disappear all the way. I'd miss the biting wit and all that jazz. You rock and I still keep thinking about your post where you told us about waiting, and waiting, and waiting in the fucking closet. Love you, Girl!

  28. Don't be gone for to long hun, its a good plan though

  29. Hey SCG,
Don't let a few assholes chase you off if you do love to blog. Unfortunately in this world, there are assholes everywhere, be it on the net or in real life.

I have been doing this internet thing for about 13 years and have made some FANTASTIC friendships over the years that have stuck and I have seen my share of "here today and gone tomorrow" folks. But that happens in real life too.

Take a break if you need one, but if this is something you love to do, if it is providing something for you that only you can understand don't give it up. That is what the delete button is for. :)

Have a nice break and I know many of us hope to see you back soon. Your sincerity and honesty shines all the time. You say it like you see it and that is refreshing.

  30. You can't go wrong being yourself and I will be looking forward to your return.

  31. Don't be gone for too long! I love your blog.

  32. Come join us Carol Anne? I warmed up a spot for you with Mother Superior, yes, yes.

  33. hey scg...
just popping round top see if you're back...

  34. sweety is everything okay? i know you're on your break and all but can't we get a little update or something? :?(
