I'm off tomorrow, and staying for a week. I'm nervous as hell. Ahhhhhhhhhh.

ReplyDeleteI was sitting out in the woods one day and I was watching a male cardinal bird. It's a nice compact sleek looking bird sorta like a jay and the male is completely covered in bright red feathers except for some handsome black markings around the face. They sing beautifully. . . well, it's more like a whistle.
ReplyDeleteSo this male cardinal is up on the top of this tall tree and he's just whistling at the top of his lungs doing all sorts of whistling tricks that would put the best of the whistling cowboys to shame. Pretty soon, a bunch of female cardinal birds showed up and began making all ove this lone male.
I sat there thinking, damn, all that MF has to do is sit there whistling and they just come flying to him.
Lucky bastard.
